The Power of Humble Leadership (Part 2)

Last week, we discussed how true humility allows leaders to make a positive impact by putting others before self. A powerful example reinforcing this comes from Amitabh Bachchan’s story:

While flying at the peak of his acting career, Bachchan struck up a conversation with a modestly dressed fellow passenger. Despite Bachchan’s fame, the man remained unassumed, responding matter-of-factly when Bachchan revealed he was an actor. It was only after they parted ways that Bachchan learned his humble seatmate was the billionaire industrialist J.R.D. Tata.

The lesson?
No matter how successful or accomplished we become, there will always be someone more impactful or influential. Humility reminds us to stay grounded and treat all with equal dignity and respect.

True leaders recognize their position is one of service to others, not a pedestal for arrogance or self-aggrandizement. Like J.R.D. Tata exemplified, real greatness is marked by humility.

Let’s approach each day intentionally deflating our egos and inflating our care and empathy for those around us. That’s the path to positive, humble leadership impact.
