EVENT: MSOD CHARITY CARNIVAL– 2023
The collective effort of kind people has helped the fundraising team achieve the targeted goal and objectives for Mikhalai School of Destiny (MSOD). We hope the funds will help to subsidise the monthly operating costs of the charity school for the next one year, while it looks for a sustainable solution, enabling the management team to focus on their mission to provide basic education for these underprivileged children.
On behalf of MSOD, we would like to thank caring organizations, churches and individuals for contributing to this cause. Your contributions – in donation, coupon purchase, Christmas cookie/cake orders and in other kinds – have helped to give these children hope for a better future.
Thank you once again for your kindness and compassion for these children. If you would like to be a regular donor, here is the school’s bank account details:

EVENT: THRIVE: THE HERO’S JOURNEY – 2022
Rotary Malaysia, District 3300 Action Group, Taylor’s College and Wholesome Leaders collaborated to bring Mental Health Education to secondary students. It is through such initiative that we have the opportunity to empower and engage young people on what good mental health looks like, in order to thrive in challenging times, post pandemic.
The workshop was well-received. As one of the students, Danish Edzwan, SMK Methodist, Klang, said “Learned so many things about how our fascinating mind works, the importance of good mental health and the art of controlling our saboteur (which I’ve never known about prior to this eye-opening program). Loved every bit of the experience. A huge thanks to the facilitator…”
Thanks to our coach, Michele Lum, along with the co-facilitators, for a brilliant facilitation, presenting mental health info in a way that is relevant and meaningful for the student audience. A one day event, THRIVE: THE HERO’S JOURNEY is a highly interactive and fun workshop, designed for Form 4 and Form 5 students. The workshop provided these students with a safe space to speak up and to tap into their creativity, knowledge and inner resources to solve problems. They came away with heightened self-awareness, knowledge, and feel self-empowered in their ability to face challenging situations.
EVENT: LEARN, COOK, AND SERVE OTHERS – 2019
A Half-day event, where 21 corporate women leaders learned foreign cuisine, cooked and served the underprivileged youngsters from aged 9 – 17 years in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy at Sunway University.
It was an opportunity to experience creativity, caring and compassionate behavior. Having fun and promoting kindness brings a lot of physical and mental benefits. What more, children need a healthy dose of warmth to be able to grow into healthy individuals.
LEARNING OUTCOME:
Random acts of kindness are important. But, if we want to be great leaders, we should not focus so much on being random, but instead focus on the one thing great leaders intentionally practice – kindness – each and every day, especially to the people who work with us and support our careers.
